Heading into a Future of Change

When I think about the last 3-4 months, our lives have changed both at home and our work. As a Haworth member for 25 years I have seen a lot happen in the economy: 1999 Dot.com (dot gone), 9-11, 2008-2009 Real Estate collapse, and now Covid-19.

I believe the best statement representing this Pandemic is “we don’t know what we don’t know”.

As a Company, “We partner with customers, dealers, and influencers to create spaces that result in effective people and efficient real estate”. As all of you are very aware- there has been a change with face to face appointments- everything has become virtual.

I will say the creativity and innovation at Haworth and our Dealer partners are amazing. The Haworth Southwest Field Sales Team got out of the gate quickly with Teams, Zoom, and other virtual platforms – kind of fun at the beginning- not so much now, because we all realize the Pandemic is here for a while…what’s next?!

As we move through Q3 and into Q4, there are challenges ahead for business developers to maintain their strong relationships via phone and computer- we all have a need to be social and yet we must restrain our temptations to go out and do things we did before Covid-19!

As a sales organization we cannot become complacent, we must continue to reach out to our customers, dealer partners and influencers in our industry.
